Case SL-6310 ETHER-ESTER LUBRICANT ABSTRACT A lubricant comprising one or more omega-ether carboxylate groups, particularly a lubricant comprising compounds represented by the formula R-O-R'-C(=O)-O-R", wherein R is a substituted polyol, R' is a hydrocarbon chain having 1-5 carbon atoms, and R" is a hydrocarbon chain having 1-18 carbon atoms. Such lubricants have particularly good applications, among others, in use with refrigeration systems, particularly with R134a refrigerants.
