The ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer of the invention is a copolymer of ethylene and an .alpha.-olefin of 6 to 8 carbon atoms and has the following properties: the melt tension (MT) and the melt flow rate (MFR) satisfy the following relation 9.0xMFR-0.65 > MT > 2.2xMFR-0.84, the flow activation energy ((Ea)x10-4 J/molK), the carbon atom number (C) of the .alpha.-olefin in the copolymer and the .alpha.-olefin content (x mol%) in the copolymer satisfy the following relation (0.039Ln(C-2)+0.0096)Xx+2.87 < (Ea)x10-4 < (0.039Ln(C-2)+0.1660)Xx+2.87, and the haze (Haze) of an inflation film produced from the copolymer satisfies the specific conditions. The ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer according to the invention have excellent moldability and can produce films of excellent transparency and mechanical strength.
