A method for producing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition, wherein an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin is contacted with an aqueous solution containing both carbon dioxide gas and at least one additive selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal salt (A) and a boron compound (B). The present invention can provide an environmentally friendly method for producing an EVOH resin composition, the method releasing no carboxylic acid such as acetic acid to the ambient atmosphere. In addition, the invention can provide an EVOH resin composition which emits less smell and is superior also in long-run workability.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production de compositions de résines de copolymères d'éthylène-alcool vinylique (EVOH), consistant à mettre une résine de copolymère d'éthylène-alcool vinylique en contact avec une solution aqueuse renfermant au moins un additif sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant des sels de métal alcalin (A), des composés borés (B) et du dioxyde de carbone gazeux. Le procédé permet, d'une part, de produire des compositions de résines EVOH sans danger pour l'environnement, qui ne dégagent pas d'acides carboxyliques, tels que l'acide acétique, dans l'air ambiant, et, d'autre part, d'obtenir des compositions de résines EVOH peu odorantes et présentant d'excellentes propriétés de moulage à long terme.
