Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed is a compound having the formula: Image wherein m is two or three; n is an integer from one to four; R is selected from the group consisting of: alkyl having one to six carbon atoms, hydrogen, HOCH2- and R"O(CH2)a-, wherein a is an integer from one to six and R" is alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; each R' in each CR'2 unit of the (CR'2)m group and of the (CR'2)n group is independently selected from the group consisting of -H and alkyl having one to four carbon atoms; X is selected from the group consisting of -O- and Image : and Y is a free radical polymerizable unsaturated moiety. Also disclosed are a process for preparing the compound. latexes containing the compound and coating compositions containing the compound.
