ABSTRACT A euthanasia apparatus for fur animals comprises a stationary drum having a horizontal axis. The drum has a transparent front plate with an opening at the top for introducing live fur animals and for removing dead fur animals, and a pipe stub in the vicinity of the bottom for introducing a gas, e.g. nitrogen. The drum contains a rotatable carrousel, which is divided into a plurality of spaced compartments, which are alternately positioned opposite the opening when the carrousel is stepwise rotated.
