ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention is a method of preparing a yarn product wherein fibers adhere to a central portion of a polymeric material which comprises a polymeric alloy having as a first component a thermoplastic material and as a second component an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer. The use of an ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer improves the manufacturing conditions of the yarn and imparts desirable characteristics to the final product.
