An evacuation hand piece for collecting debris during dental procedures. The hand piece is adapted for attachment to evacuation apparatus and provides both intra- and extra-oral suction. A body member of the hand piece has a contoured outer gripping surface which makes the hand piece easier to grasp. A mask is disposed at one end of the hand piece to create a suction area which is larger than the cross-sectional area of the body member. The mask is attached to a spherical tip of the body member to form a ball and socket-type connection which permits directional adjustment of the mask, thereby maximizing the effective extra-oral suction of the hand piece. The mask is formed from transparent material to allow viewing through the mask during dental procedures.

La présente invention concerne une pièce à main dentaire à évacuation permettant de recueillir des débris pendant les gestes dentaires. Cette pièce à main, qui est conçue pour se raccorder à un dispositif d'évacuation, permet l'aspiration intra-orale ainsi que l'aspiration extra-orale. Un élément corps de la pièce à main comporte une surface de préhension formée rendant la pièce à main plus facile à saisir. Un masque est déposé à l'une des extrémités de la pièce à main de façon à créer une zone d'aspiration qui est plus grande que l'aire de surface de la coupe de l'élément corps. Le masque est fixé à une extrémité sphérique du corps de façon à former un raccord à rotule sphérique permettant le réglage directionnel du masque, augmentant ainsi au maximum l'aspiration extra-orale efficace de la pièce à main. Le masque est réalisé en matériau transparent pour permettre l'observation au travers du masque pendant le geste dentaire.
