The present invention relates to in vitro methodsfor the determination of the potential toxicity of test compounds. The invention also comprises in vitro methods for the selection of therapeutical compounds useful for the treatment of pathology related to an alteration of the mechanism of the mRNA editing of ADAR dependent A to I mRNA editing of the serotonin 2C re-ceptor (5HTR2C). Finally, the present invention is directed to the kits and tools for the implementation of these methods. The in-vention is of special utility in the pharmaceutical industry for analysis of the toxicity profile or the screening of compounds in-volved in drug development and/or in pharmaceutical compositions.
L'invention concerne des procédés in vitro pour la détermination de la toxicité potentielle de composés d'essai. L'invention concerne également des procédés in vitro pour la sélection de composés thérapeutiques utilisés dans le traitement de pathologie se rapportant à une altération du mécanisme d'édition de l'ARNm de l'édition de l'ARNm A à I dépendant des ADAR du récepteur 2C de la sérotonine (5HTR2C). Enfin, l'invention concerne les trousses et les outils permettant la mise en oeuvre de ces procédés. Elle est particulièrement utile dans l'industrie pharmaceutique pour l'analyse du profil de toxicité ou du criblage des composés impliqués dans l'élaboration de médicaments et/ou de compositions pharmaceutiques.
