A liquid is vaporized by a device comprising at least one porous substrate (7a, 7b) exposed to a certain ambient pressure, means (34) for supplying the substrate with liquid in order for it to be loaded with liquid by the flow of the said liquid in the substrate starting from an upstream portion, and at least one energy source (19) for heating the substrate so that at least some of this liquid is vaporized therein. According to the invention, the said means for supplying the substrate with liquid comprise means (C1, C2) for pressurizing the liquid in order to place this liquid under a pressure greater than the ambient pressure so as to create a flow- rate greater than the flow-rate induced by capillarity and the vaporization of the liquid alone, the substrate being in a horizontal position in that case. Application is for the production of water-vaporization equipment particularly with electrical of gaseous energy supply.
Il s'agit de vaporiser un liquide par un dispositif comprenant au moins un substrat poreux (7a, 7b) exposé à une pression ambiante déterminée, des moyens (34) d'alimentation en liquide du substrat pour qu'il se charge en liquide, par circulation dudit liquide dans le substrat à partir d'une portion amont, au moins une source (19) d'énergie pour chauffer le substrat, de sorte qu'une partie au moins de ce liquide y soit vaporisée. Selon l'invention, lesdits moyens d'alimentation en liquide du substrat comprennent des moyens (C1, C2) de mise en pression du liquide, pour mettre ce liquide à une pression supérieure à la pression ambiante, de sorte à créer un débit supérieur au seul débit induit par la capillarité et la vaporisation du liquide, en position alors supposée horizontale du substrat. Application à la réalisation d'appareils de vaporisation d'eau notamment, à source d'énergie électrique ou gazeuse.
