The electrocardiograph (200) of the invention is adapted for acquiring a twelve-derivative electrocardiogram form signals representative of the cardiac activity of a patient acquired using at least nine electrodes. It comprises a body (210) including a front face (211), and at least one arm (212, 213) that can be folded along the body and capable of rotation about an axis substantially parallel to the front face. Each arm is adapted so as to form a variable opening angle with the front face so that the substantially concave surface (214) formed by the front face and the arm(s) on which six precordial electrodes (201-206) are distributed can conform to the morphology of the patient in order to allow the correct positioning of the electrodes on the thorax. The electrocardiograph of the invention also includes means for maintaining the correct positioning of the precordial electrodes on the patient's thorax.

L'électrocardiographe (200) selon l'invention est adapté à saisir un électrocardiogramme à douze dérivations à partir de signaux représentatifs de l'activité cardiaque d'un patient acquis à l'aide d'au moins neuf électrodes. Il comporte un corps (210), comprenant une face frontale (211), et au moins un bras (212,213) pouvant être replié le long du corps et rotatif autour d'un axe sensiblement parallèle à la face frontale. Chaque bras est adapté à former un angle d'ouverture variable avec la face frontale de sorte que la surface sensiblement concave (214) formée par la face frontale et le ou les bras et sur laquelle sont réparties six électrodes précordiales (201-206), peut s'adapter à la morphologie du patient afin de permettre le bon positionnement des électrodes précordiales sur son thorax. L'électrocardiographe selon l'invention comporte également des moyens permettant de maintenir ce bon positionnement des électrodes précordiales sur le thorax du patient.
