A tracking and response system (20, 120), for tracking and monitoring items in a facility environment (22, 122). An identification device (60) embodied with a transmitter (90) is assigned to each item. The environment is divided into domains (100, 101) and zones (102-105) that correspond to discrete and sectional areas of a facility and separated by physical portals (106-110). Receivers (142-146) placed at each portal capture a unique identification number emitted by a passing identification device, and send this number to a node computer (129-132). The node computer determines the new location of the item and transfers it to a controller computer (126, 127). The controller computer records the new location and compares it against predefined constraints maintained in a record for the item. Controller computers are connected to a central computer (24, 124) that links the system with independent communication systems (80).
La présente invention concerne un système de repérage et de réponse (20, 120), permettant de repérer et de surveiller des éléments dans un environnement d'installations (22, 122). Un dispositif d'identification (60) comprenant un émetteur (90) est attribué à chaque élément. L'environnement est divisé en domaines (100, 101) et en zones (102-105), qui correspondent à des surfaces discrètes ou de coupe d'une installation et sont séparés par des portails physiques (106-110). Des récepteurs (142-146), placés à chaque portail, collectent un numéro d'identification unique, qui est émis par un dispositif d'identification de passage, puis l'envoient à un ordinateur de noeud (129-132). Cet ordinateur de noeud détermine le nouvel emplacement de l'élément et le transfère à un ordinateur d'unité de commande (126, 127). Cet ordinateur d'unité de commande enregistre le nouvel emplacement et le compare à des contraintes prédéfinies, conservées dans un enregistrement concernant l'élément. Des ordinateurs d'unité de commande sont connectés à un ordinateur central (24, 124) qui relie le système à des systèmes de communication indépendants (80).
