ABSTRACT The purpose of this invention is to provide almost instant hot water at all hot water taps in a dwelling or any other building with running hot water. To accomplish this, insulated metal foil tape of suitable thickness and width is applied onto hot water piping from central hot water tank to all hot water outlets. The piping is then covered with insulation. An appropriate amount of low voltage electric current supplied by a transformer is passed through the foil tape to generate enough heat to compensate for the heat loss through the insulation, therefore maintaining the temperature of the hot water in the piping from the hot water tank to the taps. The metal piping can be used as a return path for the heating current.
