The invention relates to improved means for preventing eversion and subsequent obstruction of thin-walled, floppy gastrointestinal liners implanted in the digestive tract of an animal. The implantable devices include an anchor (705) adapted for attachment within a natural body lumen and a thin-walled, floppy sleeve (710) open at both ends and defining a lumen therebetween. A substantial length of the sleeve has material characteristics that result in the sleeve being prone to eversion in the presence of retrograde pressures. Exemplary eversion-resistant features provide an increased stiffness and/or an increased friction coefficient between the anchor and the proximal end of the sleeve to resist eversion. In some embodiments, the eversion-resistant feature includes an ant i -buckling element, such as a wire coupled along the substantial length of the sleeve.
L'invention concerne des moyens améliorés et destinés à prévenir l'immersion et une obstruction subséquente des revêtements gastro-intestinaux souples, à paroi mince implantés dans le tractus digestif d'un animal. Les dispositifs implantables comportent un point d'ancrage (705) conçu de manière à être fixée dans une lumière corporelle naturelle et un manchon souple, à paroi mince (710) ouvert au niveau de ses deux extrémités et définissant une lumière entre elles. Une longueur sensible du manchon comporte des caractéristiques matérielles et rend le manchon apte à l'éversion en présence de pressions rétrogrades. Des caractéristiques résistantes à l'éversion exemplaires fournissent une résistance aux mouvements améliorés et/ou un coefficient de friction amélioré entre le point d'ancrage et l'extrémité proximale du manchon afin de résister à l'éversion. Dans certains modes de réalisation, la caractéristique de résistance à l'éversion comprend un élément anti-dérobement, tel qu'un fil couplé sensiblement dans la longueur du manchon.
