A device and method for retaining an excess portion of a lead (L) implanted within or on a surface of a brain of a patient is disclosed. The device comprises a burr hole ring (10) configured to be secured to a skull of the patient and a lead retainer (425) extending from the burr hole ring (10). The lead retainer (425) is configured to store at least a section of the excess portion of lead (L).
L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé de retenue d'une partie excédentaire d'un câble implanté dans le cerveau d'un patient ou sur une surface de ce dernier. Ce dispositif comprend un anneau pour tour de trépan conçu pour être fixé sur le crâne du patient, et un élément de retenue de câble s'étendant depuis ledit anneau. L'élément de retenue de câble est conçu pour le rangement d'au moins une partie de la partie excédentaire du câble.
