A computer device having wireless communication capability and a computer platform with a resident application environment for selectively downloading applications to the platform across the wireless network with a predefined security protocol for downloading and executing applications at the platform, such as verifying the presence of a certificate. The download manager is resident on the computer platform and allows download, storage, and execution of applications that do not otherwise comply with the security protocol of the resident application environment.
L'invention concerne un dispositif informatique comprenant une capacité de communication sans fil et une plate-forme informatique dotée d'un environnement d'applications résidentes permettant de télécharger de manière sélective des applications vers ladite plate-forme, sur le réseau sans fil, selon un protocole de sécurité prédéfini permettant de télécharger et d'exécuter des applications au niveau de la plate-forme, telles que la vérification de la présence d'un certificat. Le gestionnaire de téléchargement est résident sur la plate-forme informatique et permet le téléchargement, le stockage et l'exécution d'applications qui ne respecteraient autrement pas le protocole de sécurité de l'environnement d'applications résidentes.
