An exercise apparatus has a vertical post with articulated arms. Strike pads can be mounted on post or arms for martial arts exercises, or weight bars and weights may be mounted on the arms for weight training. Rubber springs can be attached to the arms to provide tensions. A microprocessor allows speed training by visually indicating one or more strike pads as targets and measuring the strike time according to preset or custom tailored programs.
