ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Conventional exercising devices are not suitable for home use unless anchors are provided or frames or walls. The ex- ception is an exercising bicycle but these are relatively expen- sive. The present device comprises a central standard having a cross bar at one end. A pulley is pivotally secured near this one end and a rope or cord extends around the pulley and terminates in blocks or handles on each end thereof. In one mode the user rests the standard flat on the floor and when either in the stand- ing or sitting position, engages each side of the cross bar with one foot. The handles or blocks are grasped in each hand and are pulled alternately. In the second mode, the device is rested by one end on the floor and the cross bar is grasped in each hand whereupon the feet engage the blocks or handles so that the foot action of bicycle riding can be simulated, it being understood that in this mode the user is in the seated position upon a chair or the like.
