ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An exercising apparatus for persons confined to wheelchairs includes a pair of rollers arranged to support the large wheels of a wheelchair so that the person in the wheelchair can rotate the wheelchair wheels during the course of an exercise routine. Brake means readily accessible to such person are provided thereby to enable the braking effect to be varied depending upon the person's needs and requirements. Detachable ramps are provided which allow the person to roll onto or off the machine either without the need of or with minimal need of the assistance of other persons depending on the degree of disability which is present.
