A skin exfoliating and softening composition, comprising sodium polyacrylate powder at between 5% to 70% by weight dispersed in a solution of base oil. The composition comprises sodium polyacrylate powder mixed with any suitable base oil including food grade oils, synthetic oils, natural oils or mineral oils, with added fragrances, anti-settling agents, aromatherapy oils and/or dyes. A method of exfoliating and softening skin is also disclosed as the composition can be used o any part of the body by rubbing it over the skin to produce an exfoliating and softening effect. After rubbing the composition on the skin for a short period of time, the treated area is then placed under running water or sprayed using an appropriate atomizer which causes the sodium polyacrylate powder to gel up and help the base oil and moisture to be absorbed by the skin. L~invention porte sur une composition exfoliante et adoucissante pour la peau, comprenant de la poudre de polyacrylate de sodium à raison de 5% à 70% en poids dispersée dans une solution d~huile de base. La composition comprend de la poudre de polyacrylate de sodium mélangée avec une huile de base adéquate quelconque comprenant des huiles de qualité alimentaire, des huiles synthétiques, des huiles naturelles ou des huiles minérales, avec l~addition de parfums, d~agents d~anti-sédimentation, d~huiles d~aromathérapie et/ou de teintures. L~invention concerne également un procédé d~exfoliation et d~adoucissement de la peau. La composition peut s~appliquer sur toutes les parties du corps en la frottant sur la peau afin de produire un effet exfolian et adoucissant. Après avoir frotté la composition sur la peau sur une courte période, il faut placer la zone traitée sous l~eau ou bien l~asperger avec un atomiseur approprié, ceci provoquant la gélification de la poudre de polyacrylate de sodium et favorisant l~absorption de l~huile de base et de l~humidité par la peau. L~invention a des propriétés exfoliantes permettant de retirer les cellules de peau morte de la surface de la peau et des propriétés de nettoyage en profondeur provoquant l~ouverture des pores de la peau et permettant d'aspirer l~humidité de la peau en même temps que la saleté. Ceci permet de ramener l~huile de base et une humidité plus saine dans la peau pour la garder propre, lisse et douce. L~invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication d~une composition exfoliante et adoucissante pour la peau.
