Removal of fine particles by oxidation or/and sulfur poisoning recovery control may be required when an internal combustion engine has been in an extremely low load state for a predetermined period or more. In this case, the engine speed of the internal combustion engine is adjusted to a range where the temperature of a filter can be raised by heat-up control. The heat-up control is then executed by a filter temperature control device to raise the temperature of the filter to a predetermined value. When the filter reaches the predetermined temperature by means of low-- temperature combustion, post-injection, VIGOM-injection, addition of fuel to an exhaust system and the like, removal of fine particles by oxidation or/and sulfur poisoning recovery control for eliminating sulfur poisoning of a NOx absorbent are conducted. Removal of PMs captured by the filter and sulfur poisoning recovery control of the NOx absorbent can thus be conducted even if the internal combustion engine is left in an extremely low load operational state.
Il peut être nécessaire de supprimer des fines particules par oxydation et/ou par commande de récupération du souffre nocif lorsqu'un moteur thermique a tourné sous charge extrêmement faible pendant au moins une durée prédéterminée. Dans ce cas, la vitesse du moteur thermique (I) est réglée dans une plage dans laquelle la température d'un filtre (20) peut être montée par une commande de hausse thermique. Cette commande de hausse thermique est ensuite exécutée par un organe de commande de température de filtre destiné à augmenter la température du filtre (20) à une valeur prédéterminée. Lorsque ce filtre (20) atteint la température prédéterminée par combustion à faible température, par post-injection, par injection VIGOM, par l'addition de combustible dans un système d'échappement ou par un moyen similaire, la suppression de fines particules par oxydation et/ou la commande de récupération du soufre nocif destinée à éliminer le souffre nocif d'un absorbant NOx sont conduites. On peut conduire la suppression des matières particulaires capturées par le filtre et la commande de récupération du soufre nocif de l'absorbant Nox même si on laisse tourner le moteur thermique dans un état opérationnel sous charge extrêmement faible.
