An EGR system (126) includes an engine (120), an EGR valve (134); a two-pass full flow EGR cooler (142) having a cross-sectional area to increase flow rates and reduce fouling; and a bypass valve (151) positioned downstream of the EGR valve (134) and upstream of the EGR cooler (142) to reduce/eliminate the EGR condensation. A trap (152) is positioned downstream of the EGR cooler (142) t o collect any condensate; an associated electric heater (158) having appropriate piping to bypass the turbocharger and deliver the mixture to the tailpipe. A charge-air-cooler bypass valve is provided alone or with the EGR cooler bypass and/or trap(s).

L'invention concerne un système (126) de recirculation des gaz d'échappement, comprenant un moteur (120), une soupape de recirculation des gaz d'échappement (RGE) (134); un refroidisseur RGE à passage intégral à circulation double (142) comprenant une zone transversale permettant d'augmenter les débits et de réduire l'encrassement; et une soupape de dérivation (151) placée en aval de la soupape RGE (134) et en amont du refroidisseur (142) pour réduire/éliminer la condensation RGE. Un purgeur de condensats (152) est placé en aval du refroidisseur (142) pour recueillir tout condensat; un chauffage électrique (158) associé pourvu d'une canalisation appropriée pour éviter le turbocompresseur et acheminer le mélange jusqu'au tuyau d'échappement arrière. Une soupape de dérivation de refroidisseur d'air de suralimentation est installée seule ou avec la dérivation du refroidisseur RGE et/ou le(s) purgeur(s) de condensats.
