ABSTRACT EXHAUST SYSTEM In a dual-exhaust system for an internal combustion automotive engine, instead of just the usual direct channelling of exhaust gases from the engine towards the muffler, the exhaust flow is coupled from one pipe to the other, and vice versa, mixing and equalising the pressures in the two pipes, by the addition of two further pipes connected between the first two in an x- configuration.
