In an exhaust system for a motorcycle in which an engine main body of a multi-cylinder engine has an oil pan on a lower portion thereof, and is mounted on a vehicle body, and plural expansion chambers are connected to a downstream side of an assembled portion of a plurality of exhaust pipes that are extended out of the respective cylinders of the engine main body, respectively, the muffler includes a first expansion chamber that is connected to the assembled portion, and the other expansion chambers that are continuous to the first expansion chamber, the respective exhaust pipes and the assembled portion are disposed on one side of the oil pan, the first expansion chamber is disposed on the other side of the oil pan, and the other expansion chambers are disposed in the rear of the engine main body. With the above configuration, it is possible to sufficiently ensure the minimum ground clearance and the bank angle of the motorcycle while ensuring the capacity of the muffler.

L'invention concerne un système d'échappement pour une motorcyclette, caractérisé en ce que le corps principal d'un moteur polycylindrique comporte un carter d'huile dans sa partie inférieure et est fixé sur la carrosserie du véhicule, et plusieurs chambres d'expansion sont reliées au côté en aval d'une partie assemblée d'une pluralité de tuyaux d'échappement qui s'étendent vers l'extérieur des cylindres respectifs du corps principal du moteur, respectivement, le silencieux comprend une première chambre d'expansion qui est reliée à la partie assemblée et aux autres chambres d'expansion qui suivent la première chambre d'expansion, les tuyaux d'échappement respectifs et la partie assemblée sont disposés sur un côté du carter d'huile, la première chambre d'expansion est disposée sur l'autre côté du carter d'huile et les autres chambres d'expansion sont disposées à l'arrière du corps principal du moteur. Selon la configuration susmentionnée, il est possible de garantir la garde au sol minimale et l'angle d'inclinaison de la motocyclette, tout en assurant la capacité du silencieux.
