The present invention provides in the context of collated screws or other fasteners collated together by a continuous strip which remains intact after a screw has been driven from the strip, a screwdriver assembly which at least in part locates a screw to be driven by providing a rearwardly directed strip supporting surface forward of the strip to engaged an exiting portion of the strip from which a screw has been driven. The strip supporting surface may be complementarily shaped to the surface of the strip to be engaged. In a preferred embodiment, the strip supporting surface may have a projection or a notch to engage with a respective complementary notch or projection in a forwardmost surface of the strip to more positively locate the strip.
