ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Provided are a method of producing an exothermic metallic composition for a body warmer from a waste liquor formed in the production of ferric chloride, and the products thus produced. The exothermic metallic composition comprises at least one principal metallic member selected from the group consisting of iron, aluminum and magnesium in particulate form, and an oxidizing agent in an amount stoichiometrically equivalent to the principal metallic member comprising water, sodium chloride, ferrosoferric oxide in particulate form and at least one member selected from the group consisting of nickel, copper and zinc in particulate form respectively.
