A method and expandable device for thermally affecting tissue in which there is a fluid conduit. The fluid conduit defining a sprial-shaped element. The fluid conduit includes a wall defining an inner volume. The inner volume being configured to pass thermally transmissive fluid. Optionally, the tissue contact region is operable to have a first contact surface area and a second contact surface area in which the second contact surface area is larger than the first contact surface area. A method of use of the device is provided.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif extensible pour modifier thermiquement un tissu. Ce dispositif est pourvu d'un conduit de fluide. Le conduit de fluide définit un élément en forme de spirale. Le conduit de fluide comporte une paroi définissant un volume intérieur. Le volume intérieur est configuré pour faire circuler un fluide transmissible thermiquement. De manière facultative, la zone de contact avec le tissu peut être utilisée pour avoir une première surface de contact et une deuxième surface de contact, la deuxième surface de contact étant plus grande que la première surface de contact. L'invention concerne également un procédé d'utilisation de ce dispositif.
