A thin, tacky, non-pourable film of incompatible in-situ-expandable thermoplastic particles and thermosettable matrix resin that contains an essentially uniform density and thickness across the breadth of the film. The in-situ-expandable mass is not pourable yet can be easily dispensed in a uniform manner within a mold and thereafter expanded to the dimensions of the mold. Composites and reinforced compositions, as well as methods of molding, are disclosed.

L'invention est constituée par une couche mince poisseuse non déversable de particules thermoplastiques incompatibles extensibles sur place et d'une résine thermodurcissable de densité et d'épaisseur essentiellement uniformes sur la largeur de la couche mince. La masse extensible sur place ne peut être déversée, mais peut être délivrée facilement de façon uniforme dans un moule dans lequel elle s'étend pour y occuper tout l'intérieur. Des substances composites et renforcées sont révélées, ainsi que des méthodes de moulage.
