A painting wagon (20) for carrying a plurality of components to be painted through a painting facility is disclosed. The wagon (20) includes a component supporting assembly (50) having a plurality of opposed pairs of component mounting pins (66) fixed thereto. The component supporting assembly (50) is supported by a base structure (22, 26) having wheels (30) which permit the painting wagon (20) to be translated. The component supporting assembly (50) may be selectively adjusted between a contracted configuration in which each of the pairs of opposed mounting pins (66, 66'), and thus the components mounted thereon, are oriented in contracted proximity to one another, so as to minimize the overall size of the wagon (20) with the components mounted thereon to accommodate given dimensional limitations of the painting facility and an expanded configuration in which the pairs of opposed mounting pins (66, 66'), and thus the components mounted thereon, are oriented so as to be expanded apart from one another so that individual components may be mounted and dismounted onto the component mounting pins (66) with reduced danger of bumping an adjacently mounted component and thus damaging the surface finish of the components.
L'invention concerne un wagon de mise en peinture (20) servant à transporter une pluralité d'éléments à peindre à travers une installation de mise en peinture. Ce wagon (20) comprend un ensemble de support (50) servant à supporter les éléments et possédant une pluralité de paires opposées de broches (66) servant à maintenir lesdits éléments et fixées audit ensemble. L'ensemble de support (50) s'appuie sur une structure de base (22, 26) pourvue de roues (30) permettant au wagon (20) d'effectuer une translation. Cet ensemble de support peut être réglé de façon sélective entre une configuration contractée, dans laquelle chacune des paires de broches de maintien opposées (66, 66') et, de ce fait, les éléments montés sur lesdites broches, sont orientés de manière à être placés les uns à côté des autres en position contractée, ce qui permet de limiter au maximum la dimension totale du wagon (20) sur lequel sont montés les éléments, en fonction de limites dimensionnelles données des dimensions de l'installation de mise en peinture, et une configuration étendue dans laquelle les paires de broches opposées et, de ce fait, les éléments montés sur lesdites broches (66, 66'), sont orientés de manière à être placés en position étendue à distance les uns des autres, de sorte que des éléments individuels puissent être montés sur lesdites broches et démontés, les risques de heurt d'un élément contigu et, par conséquent, de détérioration de la finition de surface des éléments étant réduits.
