An antenna structure is disclosed that is a set of approximately coplanar conductors which form four approximately triangular conductors. Three parallel conductors are the central part and the two outer parts. The centre points of these parallel conductors are aligned in the direction perpendicular to the parallel conductors. Connected to the central parallel conductor, there are four diagonal conductors which extend toward the outer parallel conductors and almost meet near the line of the centres of the parallel conductors. Extending from the unconnected ends of those diagonal conductors, there are four more diagonal conductors that connect to the outer parallel conductors. The two inner triangular conductors so formed have perimeters of approximately two wavelengths. The two outer triangular conductors so formed have perimeters of approximately one and three-quarters wavelengths. Several applications of such antenna structures in various arrays are also disclosed.
Structure d'antenne composée d'un ensemble de conducteurs plus ou moins coplanaires formant quatre conducteurs plus ou moins triangulaires. Trois conducteurs parallèles constituent la partie centrale et les deux parties extérieures. Les points centraux de ces conducteurs parallèles sont alignés perpendiculairement aux conducteurs parallèles. Au conducteur central se rattachent quatre conducteurs diagonaux qui vont vers les conducteurs parallèles extérieurs et se rencontrent presque près de l'axe des conducteurs parallèles. Les extrémités non connectées de ces conducteurs diagonaux sont prolongées par quatre autres conducteurs diagonaux qui se rattachent aux conducteurs parallèles extérieurs. Les deux conducteurs triangulaires intérieurs ainsi formés ont un périmètre d'environ deux longueurs d'onde. Les deux conducteurs triangulaires extérieurs ainsi formés ont un périmètre d'environ une longueur d'onde et trois quarts. Plusieurs applications de ces structures d'antenne dans divers réseaux d'antennes sont également présentées.
