ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An expansion bolt for attachment in a cavity which is threaded at its outer end for cooperating with a nut and at its inner end is in the shape of a cone. A transition part of the shank of the bolt having a reduced diameter with respect to the shank is surrounded by a longitudinally split expansion sleeve one edge of which is directed to the threaded end of the bolt and is continuous and oval and the other edge of which is direct- ed to the cone and which is split into a plurality of pointed tips, some of which are longer than the others.
