A clamping element for connecting a first and a second construction element, the first construction element supporting a tensioning member of the fixture and the second construction element having a recess for securing the clamping element, comprises a clamping bolt adapted by means of the tensioning member, for tensioning in an axial tensioning direction. The clamping bolt has a portion which widens transverse to the tensioning direction in a region of engagement with the second construction element. The clamping element also exhibits a retaining element which at least partially surrounds the widened portion of the clamping bolt, the retaining element being adapted, through motion of the clamping bolt in the tensioning direction, to expand transversely to the tensioning direction. The retaining element exhibits, on its outer element surface, at least one support arm which is elastically hinged to the retaining element and which projects beyond the retaining element surface transverse to the tensioning direction. The support arm is adapted to elastically pivot in opposition to movement of the retaining element in the tensioning direction.
