EXPANSION JOINT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An expansion joint for bridges and similar structures comprising an elastomeric sealing element, anchoring means grip- ping the sealing element and resin mortar connecting the anchoring means to the structure. The resin mortar is comprised of a mixture of ureide and epoxy resins and aggregate. The anchoring means has rods embedded in the resin mortar to distribute stresses therein.
