An improved expansion joint material for placement between adjoining slabs of concrete. The material is a non-porous, water impermeable, polymerically bound reclaimed rubber and/or foam particles. The material is treated so as to be resistant to microbes, oil and fungi.

L'objet de la présente invention est un matériau amélioré pour la réalisation de joints de dilatation entre les dalles de béton. Le matériau, non poreux et imperméable à l'eau, est composé de particules de caoutchouc ou de caoutchouc mousse régénéré à liaisonnement polymérique. Le matériau fait l'objet d'un traitement qui lui confère résistance aux microbes, aux huiles et à la moisissure.
