An explosion proof heater assembly includes a catadyne heater adapted to heat air and an air to liquid heat exchanger positioned in close proximity to the heater. Heat is transferred from the air heated by the heater to liquid circulated through the heat exchanger. A conduit loop extends from and returns to the heat exchanger to define a heating path. A pump is provided for circulating liquid within the conduit loop.
