Abstract of the Disclosure An explosive blasting composition of the gel or slurry type which retains its sensitivity to detonation after being agi- tated or worked and method of making such composition are provided wherein a small amount of collector is added to the composition comprised of a stable dispersion of a metallic sensitizer and/or fuel particle throughout a thickened solution or fluid phase con- taining at least one inorganic oxidizer salt. The collector re- mains in solution throughout the fluid phase of the composition.
