ABSTRACT This invention relates to liquid explosives, such as emulsion explosives. The present invention proposes a liquid explosives including a sensitizer comprising particles of a compressible material, preferably expanded polystyrene, said particles having a maximum dimension equal to or less than 3 mm, more preferably less than 2 mm and most preferably from 0.5% to 7%, by volume of the liquid explosives.
