Plant expression vectors comprising at least two expression cassettes are provided which function to reduce transcriptional silencing of polynucleotide expression. Further, novel plant expression vectors for expression of immunogenic polypeptides, including HBsAg, are provided. The plant expression vectors can be used to produce immunogenic polypeptides, including HBsAg, in edible plant tissues. The edible plant tissues can be used to elicit an immune response in humans and animals when the plant tissues are consumed.
L'invention concerne des vecteurs d'expression de plante comprenant au moins deux cassettes d'expression et dont la fonction est de réduire la répression transcriptionnelle d'expression des polynucléotides. De plus, l'invention décrit de nouveaux vecteurs d'expression de plante destinés à l'expression de polypeptides immunogènes, y compris les antigènes de surface de l'hépatite B (HbsAg). On peut utiliser les vecteurs d'expression de plante pour produire des polypeptides immunogènes, y compris les HbsAg, dans des tissus végétaux comestibles. On peut utiliser les tissus végétaux comestibles pour déclencher une réponse immunitaire chez les êtres humains ou les animaux à la suite d'une consommation de ces tissus végétaux.
