The invention concerns the locating of the expression of the insulin-like 4 (ISNL4) gene in the human embryonic bone tissues and ligaments, detection and diagnostic methods, methods for marking and detecting said tissues expressing INSL4 gene expression products as well as methods for selecting compounds capable of modulating the activity of said cells. The invention also concerns medicines for treating pathologies related to the differentiation and/or abnormal proliferation of said tissues, particularly pathologies related to the abnormal development of the cartilage and/or an abnormal ossification of the bone being formed and/or the abnormal development of interarticular ligaments.
La présente invention concerne la localisation de l'expression du gène insulin- like 4 (INSL4) dans les tissus osseux et ligaments embryonnaires chez l'homme, des procédés de détection et de diagnostic, des méthodes de marquage et de détection de cellules desdits tissus exprimant les produits d'expression du gène INSL4 ainsi que des méthodes de sélection de composés capables de moduler l'activité desdites cellules. L'invention concerne également des médicaments destinés au traitement de pathologies liées à la différenciation et/ou la prolifération anormale desdits tissus, notamment les pathologies liées au développement anormal du cartilage et/ou à une ossification anormale de l'os en formation et/ou au développement anormal des ligaments interosseux.
