An extendable rotor arm (23) for a mining machine. The rotor arm rotates about an axis parallel to the direction of machine motion, and has an extendable portion (35) which extends perpendicular to the axis of rotation to vary the width of mining. The extendable portion is mounted on a shaft (31) and is fastened with keys (49) to prevent rotation and a sleeve (33) to reduce wear to the shaft.

L'invention concerne un bras de rotor (23) extensible destiné à une machine de mine. Le bras du rotor tourne autour d'un axe parallèle à la direction du mouvement de déplacement de la machine et comprend une partie extensible (35) qui s'étend perpendiculairement par rapport à l'axe de rotation afin de faire varier la largeur de l'exploitation. La partie extensible est montée sur un axe (31) et fixée à l'aide de clavettes (49) destinées à empêcher la rotation et d'un manchon (33) destiné à réduire l'usure de l'axe.
