An elongated body insulated by means of an insulating jacket comprised of a synthetic tape (2) lapped around said body (1) and subsequently coated by a layer of synthetic varnish (11); the lapping is done is such a way as to create a groove (4) between the surface (6) not covered by the previous turn and the free edge (5) of the entire turn (3) to be covered by the next turns; the width of said groove (4) is approximately 0 to 5% of the width of said tape (2) and is always greater than zero.
