An extended life fluorescent polyvinyl chloride sheeting and a method for forming the sheeting are disclosed. The sheeting includes a polyvinyl chloride film having a fluorescent colorant incorporated therein. A protective polymer layer is attached to the polyvinyl chloride film. A light filtering agent is incorporated into the protective layer, wherein the filter agent blocks the 425 nm and lower wavelengths of the visible spectrum.

L'invention concerne un revêtement en polyvinylchlorure fluorescent à durée de vie prolongée et un procédé de formation du revêtement. Le revêtement comprend une couche mince de polyvinylchlorure dans laquelle est incorporé un colorant fluorescent. Une couche polymère protectrice est fixée à la couche mince en polyvinylchlorure. Un agent photofiltrant est incorporé à la couche protectrice, dans laquelle l'agent filtrant bloque les longueurs d'onde de 425 nm et inférieur du spectre visible.
