14 ABSTRACT EXTENDED RANGE NEUTRON DETECTION DEVICE FOR MONITORING AND CONTROL OF NUCLEAR REACTORS A neutron detection device (10) is housed in a metal enclosure (12) containing a first detector (14) with a high-sensitivity fission chamber, and a second detector (16) having a low- sensitivity fission chamber (92) and a boron-lined ionization chamber (90) compensated for gamma radiation. Application : Extended range measurement of the neutron fluence rate outside the core of a nuclear reactor. Refer to figure 1.
