A generic canal hearing device is adapted to be positioned deeply and completely within the ear canal, and particularly suited for extended wear. The device includes a removable battery (50) assembly with an outer surface for substantial direct exposure to the environment of the ear canal. The battery assembly (50) is detachably connectable to a microphone (60) section of a universal core assembly, and when connected together, they form a lateral section for positioning comfortably in the cartilaginous (11) part of the canal. The lateral section (40) has an oval cross-sectional perimeter and is substantially cylindrical and elongated along the longitudinal axis of the device corresponding to the longitudinal axis of the ear canal. The microphone section is flexibly coupled (79) to a receiver section of the core assembly which is adapted, with the aid of a surrounding conformable sealing retainer (80), to be seated medially in the bony portion of the ear canal, and by virtue of the flexible coupling and dimensioning, to allow the lateral section substantial freedom to move in response to canal movement with only incidental contact with the walls of the canal in the cartilaginous part so as to be non-occluding and minimally interfering with hair (12) and debris therein.
Cette invention se rapporte à un dispositif de correction auditive générique à installation dans le conduit auditif, qui est conçu pour être placé profondément et complètement à l'intérieur du conduit auditif et qui est particulièrement approprié pour être porté sur une période prolongée. Ce dispositif comprend un bloc batterie amovible (50) avec une surface extérieure pouvant être exposée directement au milieu ambiant du conduit auditif. Le bloc batterie (50) peut être relié de façon amovible à une section microphone (60) d'un ensemble noyau universel et, lorsqu'ils sont ainsi assemblés, le bloc batterie et la section microphone forment une section latérale venant se positionner confortablement dans la partie cartilagineuse (11) du conduit auditif. Cette section latérale (40) possède un périmètre de section transversale ovale et elle est essentiellement cylindrique et allongée dans le sens de l'axe longitudinal du dispositif correspondant à l'axe longitudinal du conduit auditif. La section microphone est couplée (79) de façon souple à une section récepteur de l'ensemble noyau, qui est conçu, à l'aide d'un organe de retenue étanche conformable circonvoisin (80), pour venir se loger en position médiane dans la partie osseuse du conduit auditif, et en raison du couplage souple et de son dimensionnement, pour permettre à la section latérale de se déplacer pour ainsi dire librement en réponse aux mouvements du conduit auditif, en entrant en contact uniquement occasionnellement avec les parois dudit conduit dans sa partie cartilagineuse, de façon à être non occlusif et à interférer au minimum avec les poils (12) et les débris pouvant s'y trouver.
