-15- "EXTENSION LEG ASSEMBLIES FOR LADDERS" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An extension leg assembly is bolted to the lower end of each leg of a ladder or stepladder and can be detach- ably extended individually and selectively locked in the desired position so that the ladder can be used on uneven ground, stairs, steps and the like. Each assembly includes an outer shell secured to the ladder leg and an inner shell sliding telescopically therein and means to selectively lock the inner shell to the outer shell at the desired extension of the inner shell relative to the outer shell.
