In a communications network having a plurality of stations and a shared common communications medium using a collision avoidance media access protocol for communication between the stations; in which medium access is granted to a pair of stations obtaining a successful reservation of the medium; the pair of stations comprising a requester station and a target station, the requester station comprises a primary station, and the target station comprises a secondary station; wherein the primary station coordinates communication to the secondary station; a method of maintaining thereservation in the event a transmission of a frame of data is received from a third station not participating in the reservation comprising: each station participating in the reservation examining all received frames to determine the transmitter address thereof; ignoring frames transmitted from a non-participating station continuing with the reservation.
Méthode conçue pour un réseau de transmission comportant un certain nombre de stations et un support de transmission partagé respectant un protocole d'accès anticollision pour les communications entre les stations. L'accès au support est garanti, sur réservation, à une paire de stations composée d'une station demandeuse et d'une station cible. La station demandeuse constitue une station primaire, et la station cible constitue une station secondaire. La station primaire coordonne la communication destinée à la station secondaire. La méthode permet de maintenir la réservation lorsqu'une trame de données est reçue d'une tierce station qui n'est pas partie à ladite réservation. Elle comprend les étapes suivantes : chaque station partie à la réservation examine toutes les trames reçues afin de déterminer l'adresse de l'émetteur; les trames provenant d'une station qui n'est pas partie à la réservation ne sont pas prises en compte; la réservation est maintenue.
