The inventive idea which the new device embodies and the way in which resort to it overcomes the difficulties and inconveniences of previous practices is as follows: Problem : While driving a vehicle and utilizing the sunvisor for protection from the sun,a person of smaller stature is afforded little or no relief from the sun's rays during the early morning , late afternoon or in Spring and Fall due to the angle of the sun. This problem exists because the sunvisor does not fold down far enough for adequate protection. Solution: I have found that this disadvantage may be overcome by utilizing the extention visor for additional sun or glare protection. The extention visor is installed on both the driver's side and the front sear passenger side position. The extention visor may then be utilized by the driver or the front seat passenger or both. The sunvisor and the extention visor are then adjusted to one's comfort level without impairing thier vision. Abstract:The extention visor is mounted on the back of the regular sunvisor. To employ the extention visor, begin by swivelling the sunvisor to its down postion.Place your hand in the middle top portion of the Plexiglas extention visor and with a little outward pressure , separate the velcro fastener that holds the extention visor in the closed position. Pivot the extention visor on its hinges to the full down vertical position. As you swivel the sunvisor on its horizontal arm toward the windshield, the extention visor follows and gradually pivots on its acrylic hinges to maintain its vertical position. Continue to rotate the sunvisor until the desired sun/glare protection is achieved. To close the extention visor simply reverse the procedure until the volcro fastener is locked in position. Description of Drawings: Plate# 1 Depicts a randomly acquired sunvisor from the multitude of all the shapes and sizes that are available from any auto parts dealer. This particular sunvisor has a coverless vanity mirror while others have covered vanity mirrors and still others have no vanity mirror at all and have a plain back. The dimensions of this sunvisor are the actual measurements. Photographs are enclosed. Plate# 2 Shows the extention visor mounted and laying open. Plate# 3 Shows the same extention visor mounted and laying closed. The extention visor may be modified to fit any shape and size of sunvisor. The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed is defined as follows: [1] On land: on such vehicles as cars, trucks, vans, 4x4s, station wagons, sports utility vehicles and tractor trailers. On the farm: on cab over tractors and self-propelled combines. Road Building: road graders, caterpillars and euclids. [2] In the Air: airplanes, helicopters and spacecraft. [3] On the water: boats with cabins, ships, cabin cruisers and boats equipped with windshields.
