A projection lamp (10) suitable for an automotive headlight has a housing (12) with an hermetically sealed light source (14) positioned at one end (16) and a lens (18) positioned at another opposite end (20). The lens (18) includes a peripheral flange (22) that engages a flange (24) on end (20) of housing (14). A bezel (26) is positioned at the end (20) of the housing (14) and is attached thereto. The bezel (26) includes a lens receiving opening (28) therein and an environmental sealing gasket (30) is positioned, under compression, between an outer peripheral location (32) on the lens (18) and an internal flange (34) surrounding the lens receiving opening (28) in the bezel (26).

L'invention concerne une lampe de projection (10) convenant à un phare de véhicule automobile, laquelle lampe présente un boîtier (12) pourvu d'une source lumineuse hermétique (14) positionnée à une extrémité (16) et d'une lentille (18) positionnée à une autre extrémité opposée (20). La lentille (18) présente un rebord périphérique (22) qui entre en prise avec un rebord (24) à l'extrémité (20) du boîtier (14). Un quadrant (26) est positionné à l'extrémité (20) du boîtier (14) et fixé à ce dernier. Ce quadrant (26) comporte une ouverture de réception de lentille (28) et un joint d'étanchéité au milieu ambiant (30) est comprimé entre un emplacement périphérique extérieur (32) sur la lentille (18) et un rebord intérieur (34) entourant l'ouverture de réception (28) de la lentille dans le quadrant (26).
