7621 MR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The external fixture for bone synthesis or repair is provided with a least one bridge member or fixture frame rod. A plurality of holders are orientable and screw clampable on this bridge member by clamping surfaces. The holder has cylindrical holder openings which are closable by an operating screw and clamps and holds each bone nail and/or each bone screw. The cylindrical holder openings are bounded by a single connected wall surface and are closable jointly with an adjacent lateral holder clamp jaw surface or on tightening the operating screw alone. Thus the cylindrical holder openings are elastically or plastically deformable for the bone nail and/or for the bone screw from a larger width for a drill and/or screw guide receiving a bone nail with play to a smaller width for clamping. The external fixture of our invention permits a simple handling during operation and at the same time provides a simple structure.
