Abstract A novel drug delivery system in the form of a skin cream comprises a continuous hydrophobic medium such as white soft paraffin in which there is dispersed an inert water-insoluble powder such as starch, the particles of which carry adsorbed thereon an aqueous solution or dispersion of a medicament such as urea. Improved percutaneous transportation of medicaments by the system is claimed.
