A connector to an external air source for a gas-op- erated gun having a cartridge piercing receiving assembly (48), including a threaded flange skirt (50, 52) and a hol- low cartridge piercing-needle (60), and an opening (74) to permit extension of an air conduit from the gas-operated gun to a preeurized air source external of the gun includes a connector body (2) and a nose bushing (4) integral to one end thereof. An air conduit (6) extends through axially aligned passage bores of the nose bushing and connector body, and has a seating end (8) internal to the gun which is fixedly held in air tight communication over the hollow piercing-needle (60) when the nose bushing is threadedly engaged with the flange skirt. The end of the air conduit external to the gun is fixedly held within a connector as- sembly or plug (28) in communication with a pressurized air source (42).
